Therapies & Techniques

Cold Laser Therapy -

We utilize cold laser therapy to help aid in tissue repair and relief from pain and inflammation. Cold laser therapy uses low wavelengths of light targeted towards your body’s tissue to alleviate pain caused by injury or aging and accelerate the healing process.

Muscle Stimulation (E-Stim) -

Muscle stimulation therapy, or e-Stim, is a therapeutic treatment that applies electrical stimulation to treat pain and muscle spasms. At Donelson Chiropractic Clinic we use this therapy to help build strength and prevent atrophy in patients with muscle injuries.

Myofascial Release -

We provide an alternative medicine called myofascial release, used to treat skeletal muscle immobility and pain. This hands-on therapy employs gentle, sustained pressure on Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to relax tight muscles, enhance blood and lymphatic flow, and stimulate the stretch reflex in muscles.

Spinal Decompression -

At Donelson Chiropractic Clinic, we offer non-surgical spinal decompression to treat back or neck pain, sciatica, bulging or herniated discs, worn spinal joints, and injured or diseased spinal nerve roots. Spinal decompression gently stretches the spine to alter its force and position. This process helps relieve pressure on the spinal discs, allowing bulging or herniated discs to retract.

Therapeutic Massage -

Massage therapy offers a natural, conservative treatment approach that relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our office provides specific massage and muscular therapy tailored to each patient’s condition and injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include increased blood circulation, reduced swelling, muscle relaxation, relief from muscle pain and spasms, and support for recovery and improved range of motion.

Therapeutic Ultrasound -

Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves above the range of human hearing to interact with tissues in the body that are either modified or destroyed. It creates a deep heat and increases the blood flow to the area being treated to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation.

Trigger Point Therapy -

Using massage regularly for trigger point therapy can naturally help manage pain and stress caused by chronic injuries. Pressure is applied to a trigger point long enough to release and relax the muscle. This increases blood flow to the muscle, promoting normalization and helping it return to a healthy state.
